1 - Harry/Ginny!
2 - After they're married
3 - Watching newborn baby James in his crib
4 - PG for pure and utter fluff for all ages!
It was quiet. Too quiet.
Harry looked at the clock on the bedside table.
3:37 am.
Without thinking, he jumped out of bed and went to the next room, the little nursery he and Ginny had set up for the baby. A dimly lit light was on, and Harry tiptoed inside.
What he saw warmed his heart.
Ginny was sitting in a cushy armchair with James at her breast. Harry could tell he was sleeping—his arm lay flung to the side, dangling from his little body.
Harry took a step into the room, and Ginny turned toward him, smiling despite her look of extreme exhaustion.
"Didn't mean to wake you," she whispered. She yawned and placed her head against the back of the chair.
Harry crossed over to the chair and sat on the floor at Ginny's feet. "You didn't. I woke up and it was quiet." They both chuckled softly.
"It's never going to be quiet around here again, is it?" Ginny placed her free hand on Harry's head and idly stroked his hair.
Both of them stared at the sleeping infant in Ginny's arms, not bothering to move and possibly disturb him by placing him in his cot. Harry's heart felt content, full and at peace.
Peace. What a wonderful concept.
