Taking a page from miss_elisha's book because she is a world dominating force, here is my first entry in the drabble-a-day challenge.

These will all be Potter-related and perhaps they will be stepping stones to larger fics.

...And just so you know, there will be no smut drabbles this time around.

Daddy

The baby in his arms squirmed in her sleep and made him smile. So much of his world was wrapped up in this one little person. This one, perfectly innocent creature that he had a hand in making made everything worth while. She didn't care that he was nearly blind in one eye or that he had a bad knee that kept him from walking that confident stride of his teenage years. All she cared about was that he was her daddy and he loved her.

He knew he should put her down. He knew that Ginny would get on him about having her sleep in her own bed. But how could he let go of a tangible link to his past, present and future? The way she curled up against his neck and wrapped her hand around his little finger...why would he want to let this go?

With a smile that filled his heart with joy, Harry settled back against the pillows on the sofa and took a nap with his little girl.
